The Jitsu Canada black belt grading examinations will take place on the morning of December 5th. There will be candidates for 1st dan, 2nd dan and 3rd dan. This is Jitsu Canada’s first 3rd dan grading, and this event is therefore an important landmark in our history. Please join us in celebrating the occasion at the end of year events:

End of Term Course

Kawartha Martial Arts Academy, Peterborough 2pm to 5.30pm; Cost $25

Instructors:

There will be two extra grading preparation classes, open to all potential candidates, on Wed 11th & Wed 18th Nov, 8pm to 10pm at Kawartha Martial Arts Academy. There is no charge for these classes, but you must pre-register with your instructor.

The Ontario Provincial Course & Competition takes place 7th and 8th November 2009, at Carleton University, Ottawa.

Green and above classes will run Wednesday nights during May & June, 8pm to 10pm at Kawartha Martial Arts.

Sunday 23rd November, 1pm to 4pm at Kawartha Martial Arts.

Kenn Gibb Sensei will be running a pre-grading for all potential candidates. This will put everyone through their paces before the grading, and identify any areas to focus on before the grading date.

Cost is $5

The Ontario provincial course is fast approaching. This is an opportunity for all members of Jitsu Canada clubs to meet for a weekend of training and friendly competition. The event is open to everyone, from beginner to black belt. Several senior Jitsu Canada instructors will be teaching, and everyone will receive at least three hours of instruction per day, and have the opportunity to enter the competition.

 

Please note that there is a venue change for the provincial course. The course has been moved to Kingston.

An opportunity for members of the Trent University and Peterborough YMCA club members to get together for a training session. Meet your peers from the other local club and train together. Especially beneficial as you will be grading together. All members invited.
