Peterborough Instructors

The Jitsu Canada instructors in the Peterborough area are:

Andy Dobie

Andy began his jiu jitsu training at Plymouth Polytechnic (now Plymouth University) in Plymouth, England, in 1985 under the instruction of Simon Leehane Sensei. In 1988 he became the club instructor of the University of Plymouth Samurai Jiu Jitsu Club, a position he held until 1992.

In August 1993 he moved to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada and established Jitsu Canada's first club at Trent University. In September 1998 Andy decided the time was right for an additional club in Peterborough, and the Peterborough YMCA agreed to host the club.

In addition to jiu jitsu, Andy also studied judo for two years before attending university.
