Welcome to Jitsu Kingston. We offer instruction in the art of Shorinji Kan Jiu Jitsu. There are currently two clubs in the Kingston area, one at Queen's University and the other at the YMCA.

Based on locking and throwing techniques which have evolved over thousands of years, Shorinji Kan Jiu Jitsu provides an extremely effective self-defence system against virtually any attacker, unarmed or otherwise. This system, taught in a friendly club atmosphere, can be used by anyone irrespective of strength, weight or gender. Training is gradual and tailored to your individual ability, so you do not need a high standard of physical fitness to begin. In fact, you will find that endurance, strength, flexibility and speed are all improved during training. And your confidence, coordination and reaction times will also improve.

Why not give it a try? All you need to start is loose clothing. New members are always welcome to any class, at any time of the year! Please feel to drop by at any time to watch, or try a free introductory class.
