Senior Jitsu Canada instructors will be teaching courses at all clubs this semester. These courses will occur at regular club training times, and provide students with the opportunity to learn from senior guest instructors.

These courses are designed to make courses more accessible to all students as they require no travel, and less time commitment than the weekend courses. Courses are open to all members, from beginner to senior grade.

There is a charge of $10 per person for these courses, to cover the instructor's travel expenses.

Saturday 1pm to 6pm; Sunday 11am to 3pm

The provincial course is an opportunity for all members of Jitsu Canada clubs to meet for a weekend of training. This course provides students with the chance to train with many different people from the various clubs. The event is open to everyone, from beginner to black belt. Senior Jitsu Canada instructors will be teaching, together with a guest instructor from another style.

Accommodation on the Saturday night is provided by members of the host club, and there is always a memorable social event on the Saturday night.

This course is open to persons graded orange belt and green belt. It provides an introduction to the teaching of jiu jitsu and will prepare students for teaching basic techniques to beginners.

Participation in this course is required before grading to purple belt. Green belts wishing to grade this semester may do so provided they are registered for the course. Yellow belts may also register for this course if they will be grading this semester.

Please wear casual clothes for the classroom portion of the course, a gi is required for the practical section. Please bring your Jitsu Canada record book to the course.

This course is open to persons graded purple belt and light blue belt who are qualified assistant instructors. It builds on the information given in the Assistant Instructor Course and will prepare students for planning and teaching entire sessions.

Participation in this course is required before grading to dark blue belt. Light blue belts wishing to grade the day before may do so provided they are registered for the course. Green belts may also register for this course if they will be grading this semester.

Event Info: The Trent University Jiu Jitsu Club is negotiating the purchase of some new mats, so once again we are holding a fund raiser in the form of a Sponsored Throw.  The event is open to all Jitsu Canada members who are interested in participating.
